Recruitment FAQs
Q. What is required to join?
A. In order to join our sorority you must be enrolled as a full-time student (12+ credit hours) and have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.

Q. What is recruitment?
A. Formal recruitment is a four day process during which you will meet active sisters, learn more about the sorority and get to know the other PNMs! It also gives the active sisters an opportunity to get to know you as well and see if you would be a good fit for our sorority.

Q. Who can sign up for formal recruitment?
A. Omega Phi Alpha recruitment is open to all current WVU undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled in at least 12 credit hours. We encourage students from all backgrounds, majors and interests to sign up!

Q. When does recruitment take place?
A. We hold formal recruitment once during each semester. Spring '25 recruitment info will be shared once finalized!​
Twenty-six new baby bees were initiated during Formal and COB Recruitment! We are so excited for their New Member experience!
Recruitment Week Dress Code &
Style Recommendations
Monday: Business Casual
- a nicer top with pants or a skirt, or a dress!
Tuesday: Color for a Cause! Wear business casual attire in a color that represents a cause you are passionate about.
- Ex: a red top to represent Heart health!
Wednesday: Casual but tasteful
- nice jeans and a top, a casual dress, a matching shirt and skirt set!
Thursday: Business Formal
Friday (invite only): If invited, you will receive a T-shirt to wear with a tasteful outfit of your choosing!
- Bid Day shirt and jeans, a colorful skirt, etc.
Remember: Recruitment is not about what you wear. We want you all to dress to impress, but still wear something you feel comfortable in. There is absolutely no need to go out and buy an entire new wardrobe for Recruitment! Feel free to message us on Instagram with any questions or concerns about your outfits!
